Who am I?
I am Mahek Sanghvi, a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist and a third-culture individual now based in Aberdeen. I find joy in creativity, nature, and meaningful connections; the small everyday things that remind me of balance and hope.
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I have further certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I understand how life can feel complex, layered, and sometimes overwhelming.
I have worked alongside individuals navigating childhood wounds, trauma, chronic illness, grief, depression, and anxiety. What matters most to me is walking beside you with compassion and care as you move toward greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, and healing.

About my Approach
In our work together, I focus on building a genuine, trusting relationship where you feel safe to bring all aspects of yourself. My approach is relational, warm, compassionate, and led by you. I walk alongside you, providing a space where your emotions can be felt, understood, and explored.
I support you in listening to your inner voice, making sense of your emotions, and discovering new ways to relate to yourself. My guidance is rooted in deep respect for your story and trust in your innate capacity to heal.
Together, we explore with curiosity, kindness, and care, creating room for understanding, growth, and lasting change.
